Nashville’s most famous music venue is the Grand Ole Opry, which is nearing 100 years old. The Grand Ole Opry is the premier destination for country music fans; countless legends have graced the stage over the years. You can typically find a rocking concert at the Grand Ole Opry from Tuesday through Sunday.

Attend a Game

All of Nashville looks forward to the fall when the local football and hockey teams begin to play, and you can get in on the fun by attending a game. The Tennessee Titans, the city’s NFL team, play at Nissan Stadium. The open-air stadium allows attendees to enjoy the crisp fall weather while also cheering on the home team with nearly 70,000 other fans. 

For hockey fanatics, checking out a Nashville Predators game is a must. The atmosphere at Bridgestone Arena is phenomenal and features quirky fan traditions like throwing catfish on the ice. Even if you aren’t a fan of the Titans or Predators, attending a game is still a blast.

If you’re feeling a little cool from Nashville’s fall climate, there’s an easy way to warm up: Nashville hot chicken. Today, you can find Nashville hot chicken throughout the U.S., but nowhere does it better than Nashville. Nashville hot chicken originated nearly 100 years ago in Nashville at Prince’s Hot Chicken Shack, but you can find it in countless restaurants around the city. Be warned; this dish can be quite spicy, so be prepared to deal with some heat.

The festival has more than 150 brews from over 50 breweries. Whether you purchase a general admission or early access ticket, you will receive unlimited beer samples. Cheers to a day of sampling delicious beers! 

Wine on the River

If you aren’t much of a beer drinker, how about wine? Wine enthusiasts can head to Riverfront Park for Wine on the River, a festival celebrating this fabulous nectar. Here, you can sample wine, beer, and spirits that are unique to the region, allowing you to get a little taste of Nashville. While you swirl, sniff, and sip, you can also take in live music from local bands.

Nashville Cocktail Festival

In a single month, Nashville has festivals celebrating beer, wine, and cocktails, so get ready to get your drink on. Unlike the beer and wine festivals, the Nashville Cocktail Festival is a two-day event. This festival is the perfect place to sample new drinks, mingle with like-minded people, and celebrate the art of the perfectly crafted cocktail.

The Fall Family Fun Pumpkin Festival is the perfect event for embracing the autumn spirit. This family-friendly event at Lucky Ladds Farm includes a pumpkin patch, corn maze, and fall treats like caramel apples.
