Welcome to our Newly Remodeled Studio Suite, Located at Bear Hollow Retreat in Scenic Monteagle, TN! Nestled in the heart of the breathtaking Cumberland Plateau, our thoughtfully designed studio suite offers you a cozy retreat surrounded by nature's beauty. Whether you're seeking a peaceful getaway or a base for outdoor adventures, this charming space provides the perfect blend of comfort, charm and convenience.
• HIKING: Several hiking trails just 10-15 mins away!
• SEWANEE: 15 min drive away from Sewanee: The University of the South
• THE CAVERNS: 15 min away from the concert venue, The Caverns! (Ask about our recommended shuttle service!!)

We want you to enjoy your stay to the fullest! To help us ensure you are booking the right fit for your needs, please read this lissting fully before booking:
The suite is just steps away from the South Cumberland State Park Visitor's Center where you'll find some great hiking resources and insights. Some hikes to explore:
• Meadow Trail Hike - a short walk great for kids, just next door to the park
• Grundy Lakes - 5 miles away, 10 min by car
• Fiery Gizzard (lots of trails here) - 5 miles away, 12 min by car
Our Panda Bear Suite is similar in layout to a studio apartment. The space is furnished with king sized bed for sleeping two. Additionally, two more guests could sleep on the queen sleeper sofa we have added to the space. The suite also comes furnished with a dresser, tv, nightstands, small dining table, and a rack for hanging up clothes. For the convience of our guests we have added a brand new kitchenette to the space that is stocked with kitchen essentials such as a mini fridge, microwave, hot plate, toaster, drip coffee maker, magic bullet, and more! This suite also has a full bathroom with a walk in shower.
Our Panda Suite is in a row of 7 is suites. These units all share a walkway. The walkway has outdoor seating that our guests are welcome to use. We do ask that you refrain from moving these seats from their designated spots.
Guest Access
You'll have access to the entire unit & beautiful property grounds.
For parking, there is an open lot outside the suites location, you are welcome to any spot in that parking lot!
Neighborhood:
You will be located right next to the entrance of South Cumberland State Park Visitors Center (1745 US Hwy 41). Here you can find a playground for the kids and a tennis court as well! The visitor's center serves as a great resource and homebase to exploring the South Cumberland with hikes just mins away by car! You will be 15 min away from Sewanee: The University of the South and just 15 min away from the concert venue, The Caverns!
Other Details To Note
• Please note this cottage is located on a space with other homes, cabins and an event center. We ask that you please be mindful of your neighbors.
• Regarding the unit: While the max occupancy is 4 people, remember the space is SMALL. Towels & linen are provided (including bedding for the sofa bed). Travel sized toiletries, a hairdryer, and handheld steamer are provided. The well-equipped kitchenette features a hot plate, mini refrigerator, and microwave. A drip coffee maker and basic kitchenware is also provided. Coffee grounds, creamer/sugar packets and filters provided. We also provide salt, pepper and cooking spray. Guests are responsible to provide any additional amenities desired such as additional toilet paper (we start you with 3 rolls).
• Please note this suite does not have an ice maker. We also provide ice trays in the freezer if ice is needed.
• Instead of an iron and board, your suite will have a hand held steamer to help any wrinkles your items might have picked up on your travels. The steamer is located on the shelf in the kitchenette.
• We are currently in the process of redesigning and refreshing the different units and grounds, so you may notice vendors and delivery vehicles during the day.
•Check in is at 4 pm // Check out is at 10 am. If you're looking to check in early or check out late, we suggest booking the night before or after your arrival. Otherwise, to be considerate to other guests, we cannot guarantee that an early check in or late check out request will be accommodated. Feel free to arrive anytime after 4 pm.
• Please be mindful of your surroundings! Bear Hollow shares a fence with a state park. It is great to be so close, but remember there could be critters in the area as we are located beside their home.
